Westchester Table Tennis Center's July Open Hosts an International Roster
Pleasantville, New York.
The Westchester Table Tennis Center hosted its monthly tournament and, once again, drew an international field of of talented players. Among both former and future Olympians, national team members representing their home countries, and outstanding New York Metro Region home-grown talent, 57 competitors from as far away as Pakistan and the Ivory Coast, as close as right here from Westchester County, and with Barbados, the Dominican Republic, France, Spain, and Trinidad and Tobago in between, the players engaged in friendly but heated competition this past weekend. In the final, Junhan Wu (2777) defeated Jian Li (2650) (8,-8,7,9). The legendary Zhiwen He, three-time Olympian, once world-ranked #41, lost in a semifinal match to Wu.
