Somers opened the game with a 3-point basket within the first minute by the 5'8" junior guard, Hannah Angelini (#20). Angelini ultimately went on to score the game's final points with a closing 3-pointer in the final minutes followed by another 2-points from the free throw line. Angelini finished the game with 18 points and a team-leading six rebounds. The game was tightly contested through the first quarter of play with the Tuskers holding thinnest of leads on the top of a 12-11 score. Somers used the second quarter to pull away on strength of scoring by Angelini and teammate Dani Dicintio (#4), a 5'5" sophomore guard who came away as the team's most productive scorer with 21 points. Dicintio had the long-range artillery working, draining 15 of her 21 points from beyond 3-point range. In fact, as a team, 33 of the Tuskers 55 total points came from long distance.

With no quit in their DNA, Masters came back to own the 4th quarter, outscoring Somers 18-11. The Panthers 5'7" sophomore point guard, Noemia Massinhue (#23) led the attack and finished as the games high scorer with 24 points and 8 rebounds. Joining Noemia in double digit scoring was teammate Rama Sy (#12), a 6'1" senior center who contributed 13 points to the teams total and led all players in rebounds, bringing down 13 from the boards. The Panthers noble fourth quarter effort was not enough, however, and Somers came away with the win, 55-49.
