The Westchester United Football Club's Men Premier Team Qualifies For The 2021 UPSL Championships

The Westchester United Football Club (WUFC) Men’s Premier Soccer team completed their regular season on Saturday evening, June 19th, with a dominant performance against United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) rivals, the Fox Soccer Academy Pro team at home on the field at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers.

With this win,tThe WUFC team stands in 3rd place overall in the USPL’s eleven team Northeast Conference American Premier Division with a 7-4 record. The win qualifies them for the opening ‘Round of 32’ in the UPSL’s National Finals competition beginning on July 10th and culminating on August 8th.


The WUFC men wasted no time securing their place in the Championship bracket, scoring just 4 minutes into the game and following up with two second-half goals just 9 minutes apart. They followed-up with another score with just a minute remaining in the first half going into the break up by the score of 4-0. In the second half the WUFC added another three goals to finish this dominating performance with a 7-0 score.

It was on this same field, just one week ago, that the men's counterpart in the WUFC, the Women's Premier semi-pro team scored their win. In addition to the men's and women's Premier League semi-pro teams, the Westchester United F.C. is proud to be the only club in Westchester County that offers a developmental pathway for both male and female players. This provides players at all ages to aspire to one day player for either our men's or women's pro-development teams. The WUFC's Developmental Pyramid has created a structure for players to grow from within the club and to assist their development at all ages. The pathway begins with the Futures Academy (7 to 9), Youth Academy (10 to 12), the Premier Program (U13 to U18/19 Teams), the College Summer Program, (U20 & U23), and the Pro-Development Team. The goal is to have players in the WUFC's premier program compete get called up to our Pro-Development Team to showcase their abilities.
